Private Instruction

OG instruction is given by certified teachers and is based on the Orton-Gillingham Approach.  This approach is a simultaneous, multisensory association of visual, auditory and kinestetic modalities.  By developing a strong association among these three modalities, multisensory techniques help the student strengthen the learning pathways.  Informal assessment is administered to each student, determining placement of instruction for mastery of literacy through reading, writing and spelling.  A Blueprint is developed for each student offering academic goals and a suggested amount of instructional sessions, while providing ongoing communications among students, parents and teachers.  All tutorial programs meet a minimum of twice per week.

Sessions are 45 minutes with a 10 minute consultation

The monthly payment is due on the first day of each month.

Up to two (2) sessions per trimester may be rescheduled at a mutually agreeable date/time if 24-hour notice is given.  Rescheduling sessions due to a cancellation with less than 24 hours (except in the case of emergencies) are not guaranteed.  Every trimester offers one week for makeup sessions.

Client Location Services

Private instruction is available at client's site.  This may be necessary for student services required during school hours.  Services will be provided for a minimum term of two trimesters.

Payment terms will be included in contractual form.

Testing and Assessments

An Informal assessment is given to every client as a tool to measure a student's reading, decoding and comprehension levels. This evaluation determines the student's decoding, spelling and reading comprehension grade level.  Your child's blueprint for instruction is constructed from results of their informal testing.

Informal Criterion Testing:  $500.00

Payment of $250.00 is expected at time of scheduling and remainder is due on date of testing.

Record Review: $90.00

Written Report: $500.00

Formal testing is an academic profile assessment.  Tests administered provide information for phonological awareness, decoding and word attack skills, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension. This assessment includes clinical interviews, cognitive testing, standardized academic achievement, informal criterion-referenced, and processing tests.  Tests are administered during two separate sessions for approximately 3-4 hours each.  A formal report and consultation is delivered.

Formal Testing:  TBD

Formal testing requires a deposit of $1,000 to secure scheduling.  The remainder is due at the time of the final consultation.

PPT Meetings and Consultations

Blueprint is available to attend PPT meetings with the parents on location.  This requires making the IEP available to Blueprint in advance.  Meeting preparations (including review of the IEP) will be billed at the same rate.
