Student Evaluation and Assessment

Evaluations are made of each Blueprint Learning student. These evaluations are formed from clinical interviews, prior cognitive testing, standardized academic testing and from informal criterion-referenced tests.  They may also be based on prior school reports, I.E.P. reports, parent teacher reports, formal  professional evaluations, report cards and referrals. In addition to evaluating prior reports, an Informal Assessment is given to every student.  This evaluation determines the student's decoding, spelling and reading comprehension grade level.  Your child's blueprint for instruction is constructed from results of their prior academic information and our informal assessment.  After the second trimester a second informal assessment is given so that the student and parent may evaluate your students progress against the student's baseline. It is at this benchmark that the student and family are rewarded with improved scores, affirming the students dedication to reading instruction.
